Our take on Sunken Engine
The repair-business premise is only part of the experience. Daily work is paired with sanity threats, salvage sales, family concerns, town upkeep, and mysteries tied to the shipyard, so the listing’s repair focus may understate the number of pressures shaping each workday.
What is Sunken Engine?
Sunken Engine combines ship repair, business management, and Lovecraftian horror.
After inheriting a shipyard from a deceased father, players repair vessels arriving in town, satisfy captains, and maintain the town’s order. Supernatural events can affect sanity, making daily work more difficult and drawing the attention of dark entities. Income can also come from selling valuable objects recovered from the sea at a stall near the shop, while family needs and difficult local finances add pressure. Players can renovate the workshop, modify tools and work areas, and add decorations. Progression introduces licenses for repairing additional ship types and handling more complex jobs. Each vessel may also carry a mystery or unsettling story connected to the island and the father’s past.
