Our take on Sunbreak War
Its day-and-night structure gives preparation a defined role, but also divides each session into separate economic and combat phases. Players seeking continuous battlefield control trade away the ability to focus solely on fighting while construction and resource allocation remain necessary parts of the loop.
What is Sunbreak War?
Sunbreak War combines territory construction, resource management, soldier control, and night-time defense in a rogue strategy game.
During the day, construct and upgrade 30 types of buildings and units, develop the economy with allocated resources, and position soldiers for incoming attacks. At night, 40 monster types assault the settlement, with an ultimate boss appearing on the final night. Six weapons provide distinct skills, while 30 upgradeable talents and battle-earned Rogue boons support different combat styles. The game includes nine maps with increasing difficulty, along with choices about pacing, abilities, resources, and defensive placement. Higher difficulty levels and additional possibilities are available as challenges.
