Our take on Stress Chess
The child-protection objective gives the chess levels a focused constraint: ordinary piece trades carry an added risk. That framing narrows the experience around safeguarding designated pieces rather than offering a broad set of chess modes.
What is Stress Chess?
Stress Chess is a chess game built around protecting the Mc'Chess children.
Opponents will trade any of their pieces to capture one of the children, so each level asks players to keep them safe while checkmating the opposing side. Levels begin with openings drawn from chess theory. The game includes 12 campaigns, with the children playing as different chess pieces, and covers over 30 chess openings. Leaderboards and a character editor are also included. The vendor mentions a level editor, higher difficulty and faster AI, and more detailed leaderboards as ideas for possible future additions, not current features.
