Our take on STRAYLIGHT
The game centers on momentum-driven VR movement and repeated course attempts, trading a broader range of activities for precision runs. Its 11 Hardcore levels add challenge, while Zen Mode provides a calmer alternative, but neither changes the core focus on navigating obstacle courses.
What is STRAYLIGHT?
STRAYLIGHT is a VR platforming game built around swinging and flinging through obstacle courses.
Players make split-second choices, manage momentum, and use reflexes to clear jumps and avoid hazards. The game includes 11 base levels and 11 bonus Hardcore levels, plus a Zen Mode for relaxed play. Collecting cubes in each level unlocks friendly ghost runs. Players can race against a previous run, a personal best time, or Bronze, Silver, and Gold ghosts, earning medals against the ghost rivals. The levels are set around ancient monoliths and accompanied by an original soundtrack composed by Rob ‘88bit’ Kovacs. Its movement system is built for VR, while the courses emphasize repeated attempts to improve a run.
