Our take on Grapple League
The League framing suggests a broader competitive experience, but the concrete competitive feature is Steam Leaderboards. The core offering is solo traversal through timed courses, with endless distance play as the additional mode.
What is Grapple League?
Grapple League is a physics-based platformer centered on swinging through timed obstacle courses.
Players use grappling movement to cross five worlds: ocean, canyon, mountain, space, and city environments. Speed and movement style build a boost meter, with higher Style levels providing more boost. Unlockable boost types include forward thrust, an upward jump, momentum-dampening glide, and a reflective bounce. The courses feature tight passages, long gaps, altered gravity, and airborne city traffic. An endless mode replaces course times with a distance challenge. Steam Leaderboards let players compare recorded results with friends and other players. The mountain world is presented as especially difficult, while space changes the direction of gravity and the city requires swinging across flying cars.
How Grapple League plays

- Fast, skillful swinging raises Style, which charges boost during movement.
- 03Multiple boost types
- Unlockable options include forward thrust, vertical jumping, gliding, and a reflective bounce.
- 04Endless distance mode
- A separate mode measures how far a run continues instead of using a course time.
- 05Steam leaderboards
- Recorded results can be compared with friends and other players.
