Our take on Get-A-Grip Chip
The bounce point arrives when ordinary platforming instincts stop working: Chip cannot jump, so every gap requires an anchor point, swing, and launch. Later levels add lasers, crushers, saws, and timed finales, leaving players who want forgiving movement little room to recover.
What is Get-A-Grip Chip?
Get-A-Grip Chip is a 2D platformer built around grappling-hook movement.
Chip cannot jump, so players swing to anchor points and launch across molten metal, crushers, toxic waste, saws, lasers, and other hazards inside a robot factory. The game includes 30 levels across five worlds, with hidden areas, Battery Bots to rescue, additional challenges, achievements, and appearance-changing equipment. Each world ends with a timed level linked to its music. Per-level leaderboards support races against friends and other players. Battery Bots unlock new levels and contribute to Chip’s attempt to repair Scan-It Janet and escape the factory. The game supports controllers and keyboard-and-mouse controls on PC, Mac, and Linux.
