RacingIs Symmetry worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Solo players who want timed 3D platforming courses
- Local groups of 2 to 4 players seeking split-screen competition
- Controller users who enjoy ball-rolling challenges with repeated track attempts
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a story-led adventure or broad exploration may find the course-based structure narrow
- Players who prefer relaxed pacing may not enjoy the time pressure and precision-focused ball movement
- Players without controllers are excluded from the multiplayer modes
- People with photosensitive conditions may need to avoid the flashing-light effects
Our take on Symmetry
The focus on elevated tracks and timed objectives keeps the format concentrated, but leaves little room for exploration or narrative progression. Multiplayer also depends on local split-screen play and controllers, limiting the setup to nearby groups rather than broader online competition.
What is Symmetry?
Symmetry is a three-dimensional game about guiding a ball along raised courses, playable alone or in split-screen multiplayer.
Adventure asks players to finish each course quickly. In Activation, all switches must be turned on to make the way out appear. Race lets 2–4 participants compete on the courses. In Domination, players claim an orb and activate the largest number of panels before time expires. A controller is needed for multiplayer and recommended for solo sessions. Flashing visual effects are present and may pose a risk to people with photosensitive epilepsy or other light-sensitive medical conditions.
How Symmetry plays
- 01Solo track challenges
- Adventure focuses on completing elevated courses quickly, while Activation requires lighting every switch before reaching the exit.
- 02Split-screen multiplayer
- Race and Domination support 2 to 4 local players, with controllers required for these modes.
- 03Panel domination
- Players compete to hold an orb and light the greatest number of panels before time expires.
