Play it if you…
Good fit- VR survival fans who want gathering, crafting, base building, and player combat

Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a finished, unchanging experience may find the Early Access development process and evolving systems unsuitable
- Players who prefer tightly scripted progression may find repeated survival runs and player-driven encounters too open-ended
- Players looking for a solo-only game may not want encounters with other players or team-focused options
- Players who do not use VR cannot play this VR-focused game
Our take on Strayed
The store emphasis on fresh adventures and changing islands gives the game a broad survival sandbox profile, while the Early Access label is easy to underweight. Systems can still evolve, and regular wipes mean bases and loot are not permanent across server cycles.
What is Strayed?
Strayed is a VR open-world survival game set on procedurally generated islands.
Each session begins with a character washed ashore carrying only a rock and a torch. Players gather materials, craft weapons, tools, armor, and other equipment, then build bases with doors, traps, and electricity to protect their loot. Combat includes guns, bows, melee weapons, and throwable items. Vehicles include ATVs, boats, and helicopters. Players can work alone or form teams, using proximity voice chat while deciding whether to cooperate with or fight other players. The game runs on high-population servers with regular wipe schedules. It is in Early Access, with monthly updates that add content, features, and bug fixes while some systems continue to change.
