Our take on Story of a Gladiator
Rather than moving through a conventional side-scrolling journey, the game centers its structure on arena bouts, with progression tied to coin, fame, crowd favor, divine aid, and eventual entry into the colosseum.
What is Story of a Gladiator?
An arena brawler follows a man seeking purpose through successive fights.
Defeat enemy waves to collect coin and fame, master new techniques, and eventually challenge the colosseum championship. The roster includes over 80 gladiator opponents and 20 animals, with different tactics for each. Three arenas hold 36 encounters and three boss battles. Winning public support may trigger surprise aid, while prayers can summon divine help. A tiger companion can be trained, and the character’s homeland can be Greece, Carthage, or Egypt.
