RPGIs Stellar Warfare worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Space RTS fans who want to build bases and shape their own combat fleets
- Strategy players who prefer delegating some RTS tasks rather than managing everything at once
- Groups looking for cooperative wave defense or competitive space battles
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a long, story-led campaign may find the campaign's scope limited.
- Those who want a fixed roster and straightforward unit selection may find collecting and combining ship parts repetitive.
- Players looking for a solo-only experience will encounter multiplayer and co-op modes alongside single-player options.
Our take on Stellar Warfare
The fleet system offers many combinations, but that breadth comes with a trade-off: players must find blueprints and assemble units before they can field a roster tailored to a preferred style.
What is Stellar Warfare?
Stellar Warfare is a space RTS focused on base building and customizable fleets.
Players gather resources, construct a base, capture space stations, and produce ships to fight AI opponents or other players. Destroyed enemies can drop blueprints for ship frames, weapons, and modules, which can be used to tailor units to different play styles. The game includes 60 ship frames, 50 weapons, 25 modules, over 40 buildings, and 5 neutral buildings to capture. Modes include a short campaign, single-player wave defense, base assault and skirmish, multiplayer skirmish and battle royale, plus co-op wave defense. Automation options let players delegate parts of the RTS workload, while movement and building take place in full 3D space.
How Stellar Warfare plays
- 01Fleet customization
- Blueprint drops unlock ship parts that can be combined into units suited to different combat roles.
- 02Automation options
- Players can delegate some RTS tasks instead of managing every part of the experience manually.
- 03Co-op wave defense
- The cooperative mode includes an option for waves that continue without a set endpoint.
- 04Multiple battle modes
- The mode selection spans a short campaign, solo skirmishes, battle royale, and wave defense.
- 05Capturable structures
- Alongside player-built facilities, five neutral buildings can be taken over.
