AdventureIs Starstruck Vagabond worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who prefer relaxed space games with delivery work and optional activities
- Story-focused players who want recruitable characters with individual relationship arcs
- Replay-oriented players interested in different crew combinations and procedurally generated galaxies
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking constant combat may find the work, travel, maintenance, and relationship activities slow-paced
- Players wanting unrestricted progression may dislike story objectives tied to locations, money, or ship upgrades
- Players who want every recruitable character in one run will be limited to five of the nine possible crew members
Our take on Starstruck Vagabond
The relaxed, open-ended framing understates how progression is structured: new sectors and story objectives depend on specific destinations, available money, or ship upgrades. The relationship system also does not expose every crew storyline in one playthrough, since only five of nine characters can be recruited.
What is Starstruck Vagabond?
Starstruck Vagabond follows a captain who awakens two millennia after accidentally freezing themselves and must earn a living with an old transport ship.
Players deliver cargo between star systems and take jobs such as surveying planets, cleaning buildings, answering distress calls, salvaging wrecks, and removing alien pests. Shipyards offer upgrades including a faster engine and a larger cargo platform, while repaint shops allow colour changes. Four galaxy quadrants unlock as the story progresses. Crew members can be recruited and supported through conversations, meals, suggestions, and drinks, revealing their personal stories. Nine crew members are available across the game, with five recruitable in one playthrough. Post-game activities include sector jobs, planet surveys, museum completion, and further exploration.
