Our take on Starship Traveller (Standalone)
The gamebook format concentrates the experience on one authored space adventure rather than a broad simulation. That focus leaves less room for open-ended ship operations or a freely changing universe, while crew abilities and exploration provide added decision points.
What is Starship Traveller (Standalone)?
Captain the Traveller after it passes through a black hole into an unknown universe.
Explore alien planets and encounter unfamiliar peoples while searching for a route back to Earth. The gamebook places the player in command of an entire ship and crew, with each crew member possessing particular abilities. Battles use physics-based virtual dice. Automatic mapping records explored locations, while an adventure sheet updates during play and tracks statistics. This standalone edition presents the adventure in full colour on PC, Mac, and Linux. Starship Traveller is also sold within the Fighting Fantasy Classics library. The standalone edition and the library version are separate purchases, so buying one does not provide access to the other.
