Our take on Starscape
The defining structure is a hybrid loop: asteroid mining feeds the station’s furnace, which supports research, weapon construction, fighter customization, and defense while the story unfolds across the Grid.
What is Starscape?
Starscape combines arcade-style space combat with a story about the damaged research station Aegis.
Playing as its last remaining pilot, players rebuild station defenses, mine asteroids for raw materials, research five weapon technology paths, and construct new items. Resources fuel the station’s molecular furnace, while custom fighter configurations can be assembled to suit different specifications. Five zones contain encounters with allies, alien technology, and clues about the Archnid race and the crew’s disappearance. Friendly aliens can become allies and trade technology. The station fights alongside the player and must be protected during the struggle to escape the Grid. The game includes 32-bit color graphics, an 800x600 display resolution, music, and sound effects.

Starscape compared to similar games
Starscape combines arcade space combat with asteroid mining, station defense, technology research, fighter construction, and an escape narrative. Anomaly: Warzone Earth also mixes action and strategy, but its described structure reverses tower defense around saving Earth from alien-held cities rather than managing a research station and its resources.
