Is Starchaser: Priestess of the Night Sky worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Action players who want movement based on changing gravity
- Puzzle-minded explorers who enjoy finding routes through three-dimensional spaces
- Players seeking a mix of shooting, jumping, and environmental navigation
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who rely on fixed floor layouts may hit a wall when gravity changes which surfaces can be used.
- Players seeking combat as the main focus may find route-finding and environmental observation central to progress.
- Players looking for a non-action maze experience may bounce off the shooting, jumping, and trap avoidance.
Our take on Starchaser: Priestess of the Night Sky
Players accustomed to fixed floor layouts may hit the main wall when gravity can rotate the route itself. The challenge arrives in reading the maze, identifying usable surfaces, and deciding when a gravity change makes an apparently impossible path traversable.
What is Starchaser: Priestess of the Night Sky?
Starchaser: Priestess of the Night Sky follows Kineto, a village-selected priestess who becomes trapped in a giant labyrinth after the stars disappear during a ceremony.
The maze has no fixed up or down. Gravity zones allow walls and other surfaces to become walkable, opening paths that initially appear impossible. Progress involves examining the surroundings, shifting gravity, jumping across gaps, shooting enemies, and avoiding traps. The labyrinth is inhabited by hostile residents and lords who block the route. Exploration and combat are connected, with players using the maze’s structure and changing gravitational direction to navigate its three-dimensional spaces.
How Starchaser: Priestess of the Night Sky plays
- 01Omnidirectional gravity
- Gravity changes can turn different labyrinth surfaces into walkable ground.
- 02Three-dimensional maze
- Environmental observation and gravity shifts reveal routes through the labyrinth.
- 03Action encounters
- Kineto jumps, shoots, and dodges while confronting the maze’s residents and lords.
- 04Hazard-filled paths
- Traps are placed throughout the routes that Kineto must cross.
Starchaser: Priestess of the Night Sky compared to similar games
Jusant focuses on climbing a tall tower, managing stamina, and exploring multiple paths, while Starchaser centers on changing gravity across a three-dimensional labyrinth. Starchaser also combines maze traversal with shooting, enemy encounters, and traps rather than Jusant’s climbing-tool workflow.
