Our take on STAR WARS™ - X-Wing Special Edition
The mission-based design gives the game a defined campaign, but limits the space for open-ended exploration and activities outside starfighter combat. Including two historical versions also favors preservation of the original releases over a single unified edition.
What is STAR WARS™ - X-Wing Special Edition?
Join the Rebel Alliance as a starfighter pilot in a campaign against the Empire.
This edition contains STAR WARS: X-Wing and the Imperial Pursuit and B-Wing Tour of Duty expansions. Across more than 120 missions, sorties take place in deep space and on Death Star surfaces. Combat training recreates encounters with Imperial forces. The package includes two versions of the game: the 1993 DOS release and the 1998 Windows release. Its structure centers on piloting starfighters through missions connected to the Rebellion’s fight against the Empire, with the included expansions adding further Tour of Duty content.
