Our take on STAR WARS™: Rebel Assault I + II
The collection focuses on guided arcade missions, so it gives up open-ended exploration and broader role-playing systems. Its fixed scenarios keep the experience centered on recreating set-piece battles rather than supporting player-driven campaigns or varied long-term progression.
What is STAR WARS™: Rebel Assault I + II?
This collection contains two arcade-style Star Wars campaigns centered on Rookie One and the Rebel fight against the Empire.
Rebel Assault moves from T16 Skyhopper training in Beggar’s Canyon to asteroid fields, TIE fighter attacks, Hoth battles, and a Death Star trench run. Rebel Assault II follows a Rebel patrol investigating missing spacecraft near the Dreighton Nebula. Its fifteen missions cover land, air, and space, with playable X-wings, B-wings, speeder bikes, and the Millennium Falcon. The second game includes four difficulty settings, live-action and digitized cinematic footage, an original story, a digital John Williams soundtrack, and sound effects by Skywalker Sound.
