Our take on Star Trek: Starfleet Command Gold Edition
Its defining structure is a 30-year career campaign that advances a commander from a frigate assignment to leadership of a task force containing larger warships.
What is Star Trek: Starfleet Command Gold Edition?
Star Trek: Starfleet Command is a real-time space combat game built around starship command and tactical decision-making.
Players choose an allegiance among six factions, then select from four ship classes and more than 50 three-dimensional hull designs. A 30-year campaign follows progression from Lieutenant Commander of a frigate to Rear Admiral leading a task force with destroyers, heavy cruisers, and dreadnoughts. Ship operations include sensors, weapons, shields, transporters, marines, mines, engineering, science, and energy management. Missions come from the Dynaverse engine, alongside scenarios based on the Original Series. Multiplayer includes cooperative Starbase Assault for up to six players, the “Pass the Tribble” mode, and competitive matches over network connections.
