Our take on Tornado
The detailed cockpit, planning, and mission systems trade immediate pick-up-and-play simplicity for a more structured flight experience. That focus also limits the game to Tornado-centered military aviation rather than a wider selection of aircraft or activities.
What is Tornado?
Tornado combines aircraft simulation with combat and multi-mission campaigns, including the Operation Desert Storm scenario.
Players can fly alone or coordinate multiple aircraft across missions involving aircraft and ground vehicles. The two-seat cockpit supports pilot and navigator or weapons officer roles. Available systems include general-purpose bombs, cluster bombs, JP2333, ALARM, air-to-air missiles, and laser-designated bombs. Mission planning, terrain-following autopilot, navigation and attack systems support flight preparation and execution. Landscapes contain natural and man-made features, while night and low-visibility conditions alter missions. The game also includes simulator training and a two-player head-to-head dogfight option.
