Our take on Star Ruler
Rather than limiting space strategy to fixed maps and preset technology paths, it combines generated galaxies, optional research variation, editable systems, and combat that can target both ship components and stars.
What is Star Ruler?
Star Ruler is a strategy game about managing an interstellar empire in a procedurally generated galaxy ranging from 1 to more than 10,000 systems, with an option to flatten the 3D layout.
Players design ships, target components and stars during combat, negotiate with rival empires, research weapons and engines, and exploit or destroy interstellar features. Research options can be shuffled between games. Race creation, editable files, developer tools, and scripted artificial intelligence support customization. Multiplayer works online or through LAN connections with up to 10 other opponents. Games can be saved and resumed, and players may join or leave during a match without disrupting the remaining game.
