Our take on Spring Dash
Rather than centering platforming on careful jumps or combat, Spring Dash makes movement itself the main challenge. Its first-person view, plant-based abilities, route experimentation, exploits, and speed-focused medals replace a conventional linear platforming structure.
What is Spring Dash?
Spring Dash is a nature-themed, first-person precision platformer focused on high-speed movement.
Players combine wall-running, grappling, dashing, bouncing, and sliding to cross large gaps, evade attacks, and build momentum. Levels offer multiple routes, with shortcuts and unintended paths available for experimentation. Bug enemies include silkworms that reduce speed and grasshoppers that slam into the player. Progression leads to a procedurally generated endless mode, while level leaderboards and medals provide time-based goals. The game has one weapon and no multiplayer, level editor, or deep story. It is a relatively small game made by a single developer with assistance from a composer and friends.
