Our take on Spheroids
Rather than keeping platforming and combat separate, the game combines side-scrolling traversal with Pang-inspired sphere encounters. Its cubic-world premise and comic science-fiction setting replace a conventional adventure backdrop with alternate-universe absurdity.
What is Spheroids?
Play as Lucas, a Canadian boy who travels with scientist Otto after learning that the government has hidden alternate universes from their cubic world.
These universes contain spherical aliens intent on making everything round. The game combines side-scrolling platforming with combat encounters inspired by Pang. Across 32 levels, Lucas moves through varied environments, avoids hazards, and destroys enemies. Otto provides a modified drilling hook for traversal, while additional items appear throughout the adventure. The setting uses comedic science-fiction elements, with Lucas trying to protect his world from the Spheroids and their plan to reshape everything into spheres.
