Our take on Spellshot
Rather than keeping spell effects separate from gunplay, Spellshot puts gem combinations at the center of its first-person zombie combat. The rerolling shop makes build assembly part of the run, replacing a more fixed approach to weapon choice with purchases, upgrades, and item synergies.
What is Spellshot?
Spellshot is a fast-paced, rogue-lite first-person shooter set in the zombie-infested halls of Caleme Castle.
As a munitions tester sent off-world, the player must survive against groups of zombies long enough for the company to gather data. Gems found during a run can alter bullets with effects such as frost, gas, fire, or immobilization. A shop that rerolls its offerings lets players buy and sell spells, while combining and upgrading them creates different builds. Rare items can add synergies, and matching gems can activate set bonuses. The game centers on fighting through zombie encounters while assembling spell combinations from the items available.
