Our take on Space Thinger
The focus on rapid space dogfighting limits the broader activities available in the game. Mining, salvage, and mission objectives feed the combat loop, but they function mainly as routes to ship upgrades rather than separate systems with equal depth.
What is Space Thinger?
Space Thinger is an arcade space shooter focused on close-quarters space combat.
Players move through multiple combat zones, each with a distinct mission such as collecting artifacts, defending a space station, or destroying transmitter probes. Asteroid mining provides crystals, while debris from defeated enemies supplies materials for ship improvements. Mission failure does not stop progress. The game allows switching between first-person and third-person viewpoints. An optional random-enemy setting adds another group of increasingly dangerous threats to each level. Enemies use lasers, missiles, lightning, fireballs, beams, and resource-stealing factory ships. Players can reach hyperspace to upgrade the ship, weapons, and countermeasures before returning to combat.
