Our take on Space Rogue
Instead of assigning one standard objective, the game leaves the captain's direction open, including a choice between peace and piracy. Procedural world creation, branching random events, and adjustable Sandbox Mode settings replace a fixed map and preset parameters.
What is Space Rogue?
Space Rogue combines exploration, strategy, tactics, and adventure around the role of a spaceship captain.
Each new game generates the entire world from scratch, with more than 300 random events and missions that can have different outcomes. Players explore worlds, mine planets for minerals, recruit crew members, improve their ship, and fight pirates, raiders, robots, and gigantic space monsters. Four playable ships support different strategies, while six races have distinct features and battle tactics. A captain perks system provides another form of specialization. Sandbox Mode allows changes to enemy strength, event frequency, weapon power, world generation, and other game parameters. The game also includes space battles, science-fiction-inspired graphics, and a retro soundtrack.
