Our take on Space Mergers
The bounce point arrives when board pressure meets the pull-and-push control rule: after selecting a block, movement is restricted to that block type until it is pushed back. Players who expect unrestricted piece selection may stall there, especially while new rows continue to fall.
What is Space Mergers?
Space Mergers is a fast-paced block-combination puzzle game built around scoring chains.
Players pull blocks toward their ship, then push them toward matching blocks on the board to trigger combos. Numbered blocks merge through successive values: groups of ones become fives, fives become tens, tens become fifties, fifties become hundreds, and hundreds become five hundreds. Two modes change block frequency: Arcade randomizes falling blocks, while Frenzy favors lower-numbered blocks and makes combos easier at the cost of points. Board settings include 5–50 rows, 5–50 columns, a 1–60 second fall interval, and a 0%–10% power-block rate. A local scoreboard records the top 5 scores under restricted settings.
How Space Mergers plays
- 01Two game modes
- Arcade uses randomized falling blocks, while Frenzy increases the frequency of lower-numbered blocks.
- 02Adjustable board
- Players can set rows and columns from 5 to 50 and choose how often new rows appear from 1 to 60 seconds.
- 03Power blocks
- Axe blocks remove matching blocks across the board, while ship blocks create a destroyer on the combo row.
- 04Local scoreboard
- The game stores the top 5 scores when rows and columns are 20 or fewer, fall rate is 5 or below, and power-block frequency is 1% or below.
