What is SOULVARS?

SOULVARS is a pixel-art, turn-based deckbuilding RPG about Yakumo, a freelance Soulbearer handling assignments for the Dominator Disposal Organization.

The story follows a party confronting grotesque Dominators and investigating a dark conspiracy in a future where human souls can be digitized. Combat uses the Soulbit system, which lets players combine actions and apply Abilities that control the deck. Battles involve identifying enemy weaknesses, responding to attacks and debuffs, and timing counterattacks. Outside combat, players explore a cityscape, hunt unique Dominators for rare gear, and develop finishing moves called Arts. The Steam edition includes a horizontal interface and controller input, based on the mobile original released in January 2022.
