Our take on Soulforge Lost Path
The defining constraint is the backpack: limited space turns every underworld expedition into a choice about what to keep, what to leave, and what to extract before danger intervenes.
What is Soulforge Lost Path?
Soulforge: Lost Path is a pixel-art RPG that combines roguelike runs with inventory management.
Playing as Matilda, a lost child of Gaia, players fight groups of corrupted souls in the underworld, search fallen explorers’ remains, and collect materials such as Sacred Remains and Sword Embryos. These resources can be used to create customized exorcist weapons, though equipment may be lost after defeat. Backpack space limits what can be carried, while Backpack Shards expand capacity and can provide additional boons. Some items alter spells or serve as crafting materials. Mine carts appear periodically and allow selected discoveries to be transported out of the underworld. Meta-progression supports development across runs as Matilda investigates the source of the world’s corruption.
