StrategyIs Solar System Conflict worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Space-survival fans who want construction and resource gathering alongside combat
- Players who prefer cooperative or competitive multiplayer over strictly solo survival
- Sandbox players interested in upgrading spacecraft and exploring unfamiliar planets and ruins
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly directed campaign may find the open-ended building and exploration structure diffuse
- Those wanting consistently small-scale combat may not enjoy battles involving large ships, drones, and multiple locations
- Players looking only for a solo experience may not need the game's multiplayer server options
Our take on Solar System Conflict
The broad survival sandbox gives up a tightly focused progression path. Building, exploration, crafting, ship upgrades, and multiplayer conflict all compete for attention, so the experience may feel less directed than a game centered on one of these systems.
What is Solar System Conflict?
This multiplayer space-survival game follows a human colony stranded in a newly discovered solar system while searching for a route back to Earth.
Players travel through space, investigate ancient ruins, gather materials, make equipment, prepare food, and construct homes and other facilities. Spaceships can be adapted from small single-pilot fighters to larger motherships. Combat takes place both aboard ships and in open space, as well as on land, against other players or robot drones. Cooperation and conflict are both possible. A dynamic day-and-night cycle affects the setting. The game supports solo play, self-hosted servers for 2–20 players, and dedicated servers for 50–300 players.
