What is Socketeer?
Socketeer is a sci-fi roguelike in which a small hacking robot enters space-station strongholds without weapons of its own.
Instead, it hacks enemy robots and takes control of their attacks to progress through each station. More than 10 robot types can be hacked. The environment also offers hazards such as lava pits, explosive canisters, and stun lasers. Players can open the station hull to send enemies into space, while avoiding being caught in the same effect. A shop offers upgrades, but hacking the shopkeeper is an alternative way to obtain them. Secret treasure chests can be hacked for loot and new abilities.
