Our take on So Much Blood
Rather than relying on free aiming in a top-down shooter, combat restricts firing to the left and right. That constraint shifts attention toward movement and using the hazardous environment, while weapon and armor purchases draw on points earned from defeated enemies.
What is So Much Blood?
So Much Blood is a side shooter set in a hazardous world where enemies attack in waves.
Players begin with a pistol, ray gun, and shotgun, then can visit a shopkeeper to upgrade weapon tiers or purchase armor. The game limits shooting to left and right within a top-down world, making movement and positioning around the environment part of combat. Defeating enemies produces Blood Points, used as currency in each new zone. Players can choose different classes and approaches, including rushing, grinding, offense, or defense. Progress spans seven zones and includes more than 40 enemy and boss types, along with puzzles and environmental hazards. New enemy types continue to appear, prompting changes in combat strategy.
How So Much Blood plays

- 05Seven Zones
- The game’s progression is divided across seven areas.
