Our take on Snow Scout
The defining detail is its one-week solo volunteer assignment in a remote ski valley, where resort maintenance and avalanche assessment frame the exploration.
What is Snow Scout?
Snow Scout is a virtual-reality exploration adventure set during a one-week volunteer assignment at a remote ski resort.
Working alone in an alpine valley, the player repairs the resort, opens ski slopes, tests snow cover for avalanche risks, and can trigger a calculated avalanche when needed for safety. The game includes downhill and cross-country skiing, optional side activities, rare alpine birds, new paths, and radio conversations with a supervisor. Players can use standing or seated modes, relax in a ski hut, collect Steam achievements, and compete on online leaderboards across 21 slopes. It also includes more than two hours of recorded dialogue and a 50-minute documentary about the Serengeti.
