Our take on Rainbow Reactor
Its defining mechanic is the manual handling of volatile energy balls: players must throw, mix, and match them precisely to keep the reactor operating.
What is Rainbow Reactor?
Rainbow Reactor is a VR game about manually loading a city-powering reactor after its crane breaks down.
Players control a Cleaner Bot and throw, mix, and match volatile colored energy balls while dealing with hazards across 9 levels of increasing difficulty. The game includes a Single Shift mode with difficulty and score modifiers, plus a Party Mode for local play with individual leaderboard names. There are 11 leaderboards, 17 unlockable achievements, a reactor-room Museum Tour, and support for Valve Index Controllers, colorblind mode, and LIV. Nine synthwave tracks are synchronized with the action. High-speed controller tracking is required, and the game advises external tracking such as lighthouses.
