Our take on Slayin DX
Instead of moving through connected stages or an expansive world, this action RPG keeps combat on one screen and builds progression around surviving repeating enemy waves. Its central tension comes from preserving a combo while using dropped treasure for both upgrades and healing.
What is Slayin DX?
Slayin DX is a single-screen action RPG built around repeated monster waves.
Choose from 6 heroes and attack enemies with weapons, spells, or mounts while avoiding contact with their bodies. Defeated foes drop treasure, which can improve the hero and restore health during combat. Maintaining a high combo in later stages becomes central to survival. Coins can be spent at merchants encountered during runs. The package contains the original Slayin and Slayin DX mode, which uses updated pixel art with the same gameplay. It also includes remappable keyboard and gamepad controls, unlockable characters and game skins, and a leaderboard graveyard where players can customize and display a tombstone. The stated objective includes defeating a dragon and its minions.
