What is Skye: The Misty Isle?
Skye: The Misty Isle is a Viking survival game set on the Isle of Skye.
Players follow Einar as he faces harsh conditions, predators, and questions about the land and his arrival. Survival involves managing hunger, thirst, stamina, health, wounds, and exposure. Fishing, farming, hunting, foraging, mining, and logging provide resources for crafting tools, weapons, and structures. The game includes day-night cycles, changing weather, seasonal survival concerns, and terrain based on real-world heightmaps at a 1:4 scale.
Horses and longships support travel across land and water, while constellations provide nighttime navigation. Combat uses melee and ranged weapons against several enemy types. Skye: Rebirth is currently under development as a ground-up rework that is intended to replace the current version on Steam.
