Our take on Jaws Of Extinction™
The first sticking point is the redevelopment warning: anyone expecting a finished purchase may stop when they learn the Steam version is the legacy build. The survival systems then demand attention to infected movement, hazardous spores, water, weather, and noise from birds.
What is Jaws Of Extinction™?
Jaws Of Extinction is a horror-survival RPG set on Eden-Nadir, an open-world island affected by a mind-consuming fungal parasite.
Play alone, cooperate with up to 4 friends, or join a dedicated server. Follow the story to investigate the infection, or explore and survive without following its path. Infected enemies can climb, vault, run, and open doors, so survival calls for stealth, equipment, and careful choices. A headshot releases hazardous spores; damaging the heart is presented as the way to kill infected.
Water draws them in and makes them more dangerous, while storms and carrion birds can expose a player's position. Building, crafting, trading, farming, hunting, fighting, scavenging, looting, ambushing, and stealing are among the available survival activities. The game is currently in redevelopment, and the developer advises against buying the legacy version.
