Our take on Sky Tale
Classic mode is built around a finite card deck: points from buildings add cards, but play ends when the deck runs out. Sandbox removes that constraint by making all in-game cards available for island building.
What is Sky Tale?
Sky Tale is a city-building game about arranging tiles and buildings to create islands, settlements, and towns.
In Classic mode, each round begins on a changing island with a stack of cards. Placing tiles expands the island, while buildings earn points based on their functions. Reaching point thresholds adds cards to the deck and opens access to tiles, buildings, and biomes; the round ends when the deck runs out. Sandbox mode gives access to all in-game cards for construction without the Classic mode deck constraint.
Buildings can be grouped by function, and their synergies affect scoring. Resources such as trees, berries, and rocks can be regrown or converted. Six biomes—Field, Desert, Jungle, Mountains, Arctic, and Arid Valley—provide different resources, buildings, and tiles.
