Our take on Sky Settlers
The focused card-and-tile format trades away the interconnected management layers found in larger city builders. There is no resource or population system, technology tree, or other major city-building mechanic, so progression rests on placement, quests, and island access.
What is Sky Settlers?
Sky Settlers is a minimalist city-building card game set across floating islands.
Players place cards as tiles, with each tile’s connections affecting the points gained from nearby tiles. Reaching a points threshold allows another island to be purchased. Each new island presents two quest options; the selected quest becomes a card that can be placed like other tiles. Completing quests awards points and adds cards to the rotation. The game includes handcrafted islands, cards with varied effects, rare events, and disasters. Play continues until the player loses. It does not include resource or population management, a technology tree, or other major city-building systems.
