Our take on Silent
Silent departs from conventional horror controls by making microphone input part of the threat system. Instead of relying only on visual movement and button inputs, the game can restart from the beginning when sound is detected during play.
What is Silent?
Silent is an independent horror game in which a journalist has an accident on a forest road while investigating a mysterious case.
The goal is to find a way out of the forest while losing blood. A microphone is required, and the game includes a calibration section for microphone settings. Sounds made during play can cause the game to restart from the beginning. Someone watches and follows the player, creating pressure to move carefully. The game recommends playing in a quiet environment and includes an epilepsy warning. Turning off the microphone ends the game immediately, while continuing with microphone input preserves the intended play method.
