Our take on SHINONOME : Rainy Night Manor
The emphasis on clues and preparation limits direct action options. Progress depends on interpreting trails and sounds, choosing among spirit-handling tactics, and preserving supplies in Misogi, trading immediate confrontation for a more deliberate escape structure.
What is SHINONOME : Rainy Night Manor?
Play as Yono, a novice Onyo student, and try to escape a haunted house from Japan’s Edo period alive.
Ayakashi, including monsters and vengeful spirits, occupy the manor. Progress comes from observing clues such as trails and sounds, then using them to form plans rather than relying on action techniques. Possible approaches include drawing spirits into traps, setting tricks before running, or attracting their natural enemies. The game includes three modes.
Harae involves escaping a finely detailed haunted house. Misogi uses a randomly generated house where tools and food must be preserved during survival. Gyou sends players through endless dungeons and towers, with stores and kitchens available for short breaks. Each mode gives the escape and survival structure a different setting and resource focus.
