- Players who do not want horror centered on stalking, haunting, and hostile spirits are unlikely to fit.
Our take on ToruTaru
The game trades a fixed, authored route for procedural variation: each run changes the mansion, items, and threats, while the continuing ascent supplies the long-term structure. That design can limit the predictability and tightly staged progression found in a conventional horror campaign.
What is ToruTaru?
Explore an endlessly changing haunted mansion where AI-generated floors, objects, and enemies create a different run each time.
Search for a missing girlfriend while escaping the demon ToruTaru and its spirits. Nine talismans provide ways to fight ghosts, bypass floors, or pass through walls. As the ascent continues, spirits use varied behaviors and appearances to stalk and torment the player. Draw a personal map during exploration, add notes, and assist people encountered inside the mansion. Progress is measured by the highest floor reached and an explorer rank. The game is in Early Access, with the developer planning additional level types, enemies, questgivers, talismans, and other features.
