Our take on Seven Days
The focus on seven short ghostly lifespans gives the story a tightly bounded structure, but that same structure leaves less room for open-ended exploration or extended interaction with each character.
What is Seven Days?
Seven Days is an all-ages occult mystery visual novel set shortly before the summer holiday.
After playing a cursed Blu-ray disc, Kanzaki Shuuichi becomes possessed by a female ghost. His childhood friend Sairenji Murasaki, whose father runs a Buddhist shrine, performs an exorcism that leaves the specter’s physical form behind. The girl identifies herself as Chiyako, who appears to have been murdered in the recording, and reveals that six other girls exist within her. Murasaki explains that spirits can remain in the world for forty-nine days, giving each girl seven days. Shuuichi decides to help them spend that time without regrets, while facing each departure. The game includes Full HD visuals, original artwork by Miko, and voiced heroines.
