What is Kindred Spirits on the Roof?
Toomi Yuna’s lunch on the roof of Kokonotsuboshi Girls' Academy is interrupted by two ghosts: Sachi, who died before the war, and Megumi, who died three decades ago.
After falling in love in death, they ask Yuna to encourage girls at school to act on hidden romantic feelings. Yuna becomes an intermediary for six couples, helping the students pursue relationships while the spirits observe their experiences. The story follows Yuna’s involvement with these young romances and the ghosts’ wish to understand love before they finally rest. Its setting is a girls’ commercial academy built on the grounds of an old castle, known as Shirojo.
