Serious Sam VR: The First Encounter is an arcade first-person shooter set across 15 ancient-Egypt levels with more than 80 secrets.
The single-player campaign includes 10 weapons, five difficulty settings, varied enemies, and a boss encounter. Movement choices include trackpad travel, teleportation, a translocator device, and the Serious Warp system. Weapons can be held one in each hand or used as matching pairs. Multiplayer supports up to 16 players in cooperative and competitive modes, including a 15-level co-op campaign, survival, deathmatch, capture the flag, team variants, and other score-based formats. Steam Workshop supports player-created modifications, while Serious Sam Fusion 2017 enables cross-platform play with the non-VR version.
