Our take on Second Stellar
The defining structure is simultaneous two-character combat: each fighter develops a separate loadout, while switching between them lets players combine their weapons during a run.
What is Second Stellar?
Second Stellar is an action roguelite in which two Starfarers fight enemies and bosses during cosmic voyages.
Each character carries a separate weapon, gains individual items while leveling, and can be swapped during combat to combine their attacks. Weapons include multiple skills and passive effects, while characters develop through separate skill trees after each voyage. Runs span varied worlds and end with encounters against elite foes tied to distant memories. Between battles, players build combinations from characters, weapons, items, and abilities, including effects that alter dashes, summon mechanical allies, or strengthen character swaps. The game also follows twin Starfarers Asphodene and Eridani as they investigate the Voyager and meet potential allies and adversaries.
