Our take on Seal the Rift
The main bounce point arrives when a defeat ends the current run rather than advancing a persistent campaign. Players who do not enjoy rebuilding decks, weighing route risks and managing limited magic may stop at that repeated run-reset cycle.
What is Seal the Rift?
Seal the Rift is a single-player roguelike deckbuilder where each playthrough combines cards, relics, magic, enemies and events differently.
Players choose from 2 adventurers, each with a thematic deck, then shape a deck by collecting cards and relics. A changing map presents paths with different risks and rewards. Defeat ends the current run, while leveling unlocks additional cards and relics. The Boost system increases the potency of one card in hand, and magic provides a limited resource for casting spells. Defeating bosses expands the available spell collection. Card-and-relic synergies support different builds, while high scores unlock account titles. The dark-fantasy setting includes a corrupted forest, a living graveyard and whispers of a dragon sighting.
