Our take on Scarlet Tower
Rather than keeping danger constant, the game divides its runs by time of day: daylight supports hunting and discovery, while night reverses the pressure and makes the player the target. That cycle replaces the genre’s usual single-state combat rhythm with a changing threat structure.
What is Scarlet Tower?
Scarlet Tower is a casual game set in gothic horror, structured around changing daylight and darkness.
In daytime, heroes track down creatures, gather relics, and meet merchants; after dark, strange beasts pursue them. Each run blends roguelike progression with role-playing features such as character classes, adaptable passive skills, talent choices, familiars, pets, runes, and racial powers. The game offers over 70 weapons, weapon combining, more than 200 passive skills, bosses with individual powers, changing weather, a creature index, and thousands of items to unlock. Heroes advance through an extended progression track, with over 20 hours of content and an endless play option. Ultrawide monitors are supported, as is Steam Deck.
