Our take on Saturday Morning RPG
Rather than a single continuous campaign, the story is divided into five chapters that can be played in any order, with character progress carried between them. Timed actions also make combat more interactive than turn selection alone.
What is Saturday Morning RPG?
Saturday Morning RPG follows high-school student Marty, whose new powers draw the attention of villain Commander Hood.
The JRPG unfolds across five self-contained episodes, playable in any order. Stats and items carry between them, and some choices in one episode affect others. Combat is turn-based, with timed defensive actions and reflex tests that strengthen attacks. Marty channels magic through everyday objects, including gum and action figures. The game also includes an endless mode built around surviving enemy waves and managing resources, plus optional arena fights. Its settings and equipment draw on 1980s Saturday-morning cartoons and pop culture. The soundtrack was composed by Vince DiCola and Kenny Meriedeth.
