Our take on Samurai Wish
Rather than centering a samurai game on a linear tale of honor, it frames missions as anonymous wishes that may be moral or immoral. The result is a compact action structure built around choosing objectives, completing them through violence, and retrying after failure.
What is Samurai Wish?
Samurai Wish is a top-down action game about a samurai from the Wishmakers' Clan who fulfills anonymous people's wishes through selected missions.
Combat combines close-range katana attacks, high-speed dashes, long-range shuriken throws, bullet deflection, and an invulnerability spell. Missions can be chosen in any order, with a retry-focused structure built around challenging encounters and reflexes. The game includes 14 missions, a scoring system, 57 achievements, and 15 hats to unlock. A first playthrough takes approximately 4 hours. Between missions, the dojo provides a place to relax, while the soundtrack combines hip hop beats with Japanese music.
