Our take on BRKÖUT
The defining mechanic is a paddle that breaks down as the ball hits blocks; collected bricks then serve as the material for rebuilding it.
What is BRKÖUT?
BRKÖUT is a brick-breaking arcade game with mechanics that appear over time and a narrative inspired by early home computers.
As the ball breaks blocks near the top of the screen, hits also cause the paddle to fall apart. Collect bricks and use them to rebuild the paddle to continue playing. The game was remastered for 16:9 displays from an original Vic-30 version. It is intended for solo play and was developed with keyboard controls in mind, though controller and mouse controls are also available. The game includes an original soundtrack by Simon Wagg and approximately 2 hours of content.
