Our take on Salt Player
Rather than using levels, objectives, or player-controlled challenges, this product centers on a local music library workflow. Its structure is based on cataloging, playback control, lyrics presentation, and interface customization instead of conventional gameplay.
What is Salt Player?
Salt Player for Windows is a local audio player for music files.
It supports AAC, AIFF, APE, FLAC, M4A, MP3, OGG, OPUS, WAV, and WV, with DirectSound or exclusive WASAPI output modes. Playback includes floating-point DSP processing, sampling quality up to 256-Sinc, and gapless track transitions. The library can classify genres hierarchically, provide genre introductions, and organize albums and artists. Its incremental library system retains records when files are moved, deleted, or the software is uninstalled. The interface supports themes, fonts, layered blur effects, and animated elements. Lyrics can come from embedded data or LRC files, with scrolling, karaoke-style, and desktop display modes. Windows SMTC integration provides system playback controls.
